EXCURSION TO THE FIVE LAKES REGION

Very close to the Hotel München Umland is Lake Starnberg, Bavaria's second-largest lake and affectionately known as "Munich's bathtub." A 30-minute drive south of Baierbrunn takes you to the beautiful Tegernsee or Schliersee lakes. With the mountains in the background, the lakes offer a fantastic backdrop. Mountain enthusiasts and nature lovers are sure to find plenty to enjoy in the Munich area, as there are numerous hikes and tours of varying difficulty.
