What began as a heartfelt gesture is now on everyone's lips – from Munich to Malaysia, from Spain to Kenya. The story of the Buchenhain forest inn and Harry Kane has conquered the world and shows how hospitality, sport, and Bavarian tradition can come together in a wonderful way.
How it all started ...
It all started when Harry Kane joined the team in 2023. FC Bayern Munich He moved and settled in Baierbrunn with his family. His personal physician has since become a regular guest at the Buchenhain Forest Inn and stays with us frequently. This special guest led to a connection that no one could have foreseen.
When ordering duck and goose for the Kane family, our host Stefan Kastner, a self-confessed Bayern Munich fan, came up with an idea he didn't take too seriously: "As long as Kane scores, we'll serve schnitzel on the house!" Harry thought the offer was funny, and things took their course. What was intended as a fan gesture became a cherished tradition.
We've now reached over 60 schnitzels. Our boss, Stefan Kastner, personally delivers them directly to the striker's villa. The security staff have long since become familiar with the "Schnitzel Guy." "I can't get out of this now either," Stefan laughs, "but it's a wonderful story that shows what neighborliness can mean."
A story that went around the world
What began in the tranquil beech grove has now reached international dimensions. From the Spanish Sports newspaper Marca over France24, a Bavarian Radio and Sat 1 From Malaysia to Kenya to Norway – our schnitzel campaign is being reported everywhere. Even Harry Kane himself spoke about it in interviews: "It's a really nice story. I feel like I'm part of the community and I'm very happy to be getting to know the people in the area better." He added with a grin that schnitzel is his "favorite Bavarian dish, even if some people say it's Austrian." And even if he doesn't eat all the schnitzels himself, his family and guests are delighted with the delicious delivery.
