EXCELLENT TREASURES FROM OUR MUNICH WINE CELLAR
At Waldgasthof Buchenhain, we have a particular weakness for good wine. For many years, we have passionately collected popular classics and rare rarities in our Munich wine cellar. Because life is too short to drink bad wine!
Beneath the rooms of our forest inn lies an impressive, over 100-year-old vaulted cellar, containing many treasures. Within our historic walls, we preserve unusual grape varieties and outstanding vintages from wineries in Germany, Austria, Italy, France, and Spain. These fine wines are stored on shelves made of 200-year-old, heat-treated spruce wood at a constant room temperature of 14-14,5 degrees Celsius and 75% natural humidity.

To give you a glimpse into our variety of wines, why not try a Brunello di Montalcino Pieve Santa Restituta, vintage 2010. An opulent Sangiovese with the intense aroma of plums and berries. For a full-bodied white wine, we recommend a glass of Chardonnay from Bernhard Huber Winery from Baden, vintage 2016, a spicy wine with distinct smokiness and pear aromas. And a special recommendation from the house: a Castillo Ygay Gran Reserva 2010 Murietta.
